Vanessa Mendes​, PhD

 

Innovation Director​

 

Vanessa Mendes has a master degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2011)  and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2016) from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra, in collaboration with the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, USA. Vanessa has strong experience in the preparation of triterpenoid compounds and biological evaluation of anticancer drugs.​

 

Bruno Gonçalves​, PhD

 

Director of R&D

 

Bruno Gonçalves has a master degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2010) and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2016) from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra, in collaboration with the University of Barcelona, Spain. Bruno has strong experience in the preparation and biological evaluation of anticancer triterpenoids.​

 

Salete Batista, PhD

 

Director of Computational Drug Discovery Department​

 

Salete Batista has a master degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2011) and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2018) from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra in collaboration with the ICRM, CNR, Milan, Italy. Salete has expertise in computer-aided drug discovery and in vitro evaluation of novel antitumor compounds.

 

Jorge Salvador, PhD

Scientific Advisor

 

Jorge Salvador is graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences, has a master degree in Organic & Technological Chemistry and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (1998) from the University of Coimbra in collaboration with the University of York, UK. Jorge Salvador is full professor of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra and is author of several patents (including US patents) and international scientific publications in the fields of Organic Chemistry, Green Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry.

 

Maria Manuel Silva, PhD

 

Scientific Advisor

 

Maria Manuel Silva is graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences, has a master degree in Drugs Technologies and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2005), from the University of Coimbra in collaboration with the ICRM, CNR, Milan, Italy. Maria Manuel is assistant professor of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra and has experience in applied biocatalysis and steroids medicinal chemistry.
